Welcome to my little corner of the inter-web. Glad you stopped by! I'm a Husker-lovin', Apple-usin', Nikon-shootin' student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln - persuing my degree in advertising & public relations.
I have always been interested in photography. I purchased my beloved Nikon D40 when I was 16 and heading over to Europe with my cousin. Throughout high school I tried to convince myself that I was never going to be a photographer. Who would want to follow brides around every single weekend? "Not this girl," I thought.
Fast forward to college (that's where I'm at right now, by the way). I start more seriously pursuing this whole photography thing. I invest an good chunk of money I clearly don't have (college student here!!) into something that I absolutely start enjoying more and more. I started with a camera. I now have four large bags I carry with me when I go to shoots. It's amazing how my mind has changed so quickly.
In June of 2012 I officially started a small photography business to keep me busy in all my spare time! I've have had the most fabulous clients. These people trusted me when I could barely trust myself with a camera - so thanks for that. :)
So why advertising and public relations? Well, I believe it's important to have a college education. It's just not realistic of me to think I could dive right on into this photography thing. Ideally, these years in my life will be spent learning more and more about the photographic world. When I do graduate, I may or may not dabble in some advertising. I really enjoy it, I do. I am a huge photoshop/indesign/illustrator fanatic - which is key in this design world.
Bottom line: I want to be a photographer & a momma someday.
I love creating, and that's about it.
